Diablo 2 Items - How They Work


Numerous games are available online that you enjoy and lots of people make it favorite. But none can provide the same replay value and enjoyment as Diablo 2. Others have some their good points; however not all have enough to match the diversity of Diablo 2.
There are so many options that on every time you will find some new classes and characters. No other game will provide you something new every time. Diablo 2 each time give a certain item level which was stored in a huge database in the game files. Whenever a monster is killed, the game looks at monster level and the area in which the monster was killed. Then, the game looks at the item tables and rolls an item to drop. The magical attributes are also chosen by rolling all the magical prefixes and suffix. Then the item dropped on the ground. Diablo 2 introduce many different categories of items that include:
1) Exceptional items: These are the items that have the same appearance as the normal items but they have better start. As the level increases you will find better items.
2) Belts: The belt around the waist means defense rating. Higher the belt higher the rating and also hold more portion and scrolls. They help in quick access to items. Many belts contain multiple slots, loops and cords from which to suspend potion and other vital items. You can drink the potion from your belt and then the item above it drops down to replace the consume item. Belts are normal ( Sash, light belt, heavybelt, plated belt) exceptional ( Demonhide sash, sharskin belt, mesh belt, battle belt, war belt) and elite(spiderweb sash, vampirefang belt, mithril coil, troll belt, colossus girdle)
3) Rare items: These rare items are often less appearing. Rare items are denoted by their name being shown in yellow and randomly select the magical attributes. Rare items can have 2 to 6 affixes to them.
4) Set items: set items are like unique items. If you equipped with the entire set then the extra bonus will be given to you.
a) Partial set bonus
b) New full set bonuses
c) Class sets
5) Miscellaneous items: the items like books, charms, jewels, potions, runes are miscellaneous.
6) Gems: gems are the socketable item found in Diablo II. These are the precious stones that have a magical effect when socketed into items. Higher the grade stronger the effect. Gems can't be removed from the socketed once it inserted.
After the introduction of lord of destruction some more new categories were introduced:
1) Elite
2) Class-specific
3) Crafted
4) Ethereal
5) Runes
6) Jewels
Following are certain characteristics of the items they are:
1) They can be traded with trading NPC's.
2) They can be held in character's inventory.
3) They can be dropped by killed monsters on the ground or by opening chest and breaking containers.
4) They can be put on the ground
