Let's face it, collecting things in a game is fun even if it's kind of useless. However in this game, you get sweet bonuses for collecting items! And collecting them is often very easy, especially with lots of mafia members to help if you need something.

Mafia Wars collection items are married to jobs. They cannot be bought. You can only get the items if it's dropped from doing a job or someone in your family sends it to you. Each job tier has a different collection item. As the levels of jobs go up, there are more collections per level. For example the Street Thug collection is only diamond cards. At the Solider tier, the collections are poker chips, statues, and club cards.

You can see your collections by clicking on the inventory tab, then clicking collections and vault. Once you have all the pieces for a certain collection, you should vault it. Click the vault button to the right of the collections. Vaulting the Mafia Wars collection items is what gives you the bonus.

Sometime you can completely master a job tier and still not get all the Mafia Wars collection items you need to vault a collection. This is where your family members can help. Put the items you need into your wish list and ask your mafia for help. If anyone sends you a item, click your homepage. Under the tabs it should say, "Someone sent you a gift, click here to receive it."
